Little Birds learnt about Harvest. We enjoyed playing with the small world farmers and vehicles in the messy tray of soil, pretending to harvest real potatoes and carrots.
Later in the outdoors some of us dug up potatoes growing in the tyre planters, what an exciting find!

This was followed by listening to the story ‘The Enormous Turnip’, which we will revisit again to learn more about. ‘ How the world works’ next year.

To end our term and the transdisciplinary theme ‘Who We Are’, we brought in our special soft toys owned by family members or ourselves, to talk about and show to their friends. Ben’ s mum came to visit to share her experiences.

Some of us drew our families and enjoyed speaking about who lives with us.

Abel enjoyed showing pictures of himself at different ages to his friends.

To link with our special teddies we looked at the book ‘Peace at Last’.

We spoke about the sounds heard in the book and how Mr Bear felt because he could not sleep.
It has been a very busy term of learning. We hope the Little Birds have a lovely half term break.
