Nursery Week 2 2023-24

Three young Nursery pupils are shown interacting with different coloured items they have found in their local environment.

What colour is your favourite?

This week we have been inquiring about colours.

We have been sorting objects by colour to develop our mathematical skills.

Some plastic farm animal toys are seen arranged in a line along a desk in colour order to make a pattern.

We have enjoyed looking for different colours in the environment and collecting coloured resources.

A young Nursery girl is seen experimenting with mixing different colours together, holding red and blue spades in her hands and smiling.

We made collages to help enhance our expressive Arts and Design.

Some blue coloured paper rectangles are shown placed on top of a sheet of white paper.

We spoke about ourselves, discussing what colour hair and eyes we have as well as our favourite colours at key group time.

Little Birds listened to the story ‘Colour and Me’ and ‘Dog’s Colourful Day’ being read to us at group time.

We had fun joining in with the “Rainbow Song”, whilst playing the coloured instruments in the outdoors.

A young boy from Nursery can be seen experimenting with different coloured tubes and beating against them with a wooden spoon to hear the sounds that they make.

A fabulous week had by all of the Little Birds.
