Some Eggciting News!

The Living eggs project came to the Nursery. They delivered some hen’s eggs in an incubator for the children to observe.

The children watched them hatch with fascination, awe and wonder.

The Little Birds found out about the lifecycle of a chick. They used their physical skills to cut out pictures and place them in order related to the chicks’ development and growth.

We listened to the story ‘Who is in the Egg?’ and guessed which animal would hatch out of the different size eggs. We learned about the shape of eggs as well. Using our maths skills, we drew representations of an animal of our choice hatching from an egg.
