Learning about Diwali and Firework Celebrations…

The children were excited to return to Nursery following the half term break. They spoke about the outings and celebrations shared with their family and friends, including Diwali and Fireworks Night.

We listened to the story of “Rama and Sita” at Circle time and learnt about the Festival of lights and Diwali.

Using finer physical skills,the children threaded straws onto pipe cleaners making Diwali garlands,necklaces and bracelets.

We also made Rangoli patterns using rice and paint.

At the end of the week, to mark Remembrance Day, the children used scissor skills to make poppies.
