On Friday 21st October 2022, we held our yearly ‘Who We Are Day’. This was a great opportunity for each child to express and share with the other children in their class things about themselves and their families. On this day, the children came into the academy dressed in what makes them who they are and to share part of their identity, for example cultural dress, outfits from any clubs they participate in outside of school or their favourite clothes.

The children certainly rose to the challenge! We saw many ways the children chose to celebrate and express their identity, for example by giving a speech, creating a Google Slide presentation or sharing their photos of their family traditions on Class Dojo.

As part of the day, the children also reflected on the things that we have and are thankful for. This was an amazing and healthy way of supporting their wellbeing too. We certainly enjoyed the day and look forward to celebrating it again next year!

Year 5 reflected on what they are thankful for using Jamboards and the ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing.’
