Colours and Lots of Role Plays (3rd to 7th October 2022)

DPA pupils participate in a Colour Hunt on the school playground.

This week we read ‘Colour and Me’ by Michaela Dias-Hayes. The children were intrigued to learn more about the colours. We sang the colours of the rainbow song, explored colour mixing and used this in our painting and printing. We also had a colour hunt in the garden.

The children loved the role play in the garden. They were doctors, explorers who study bugs and IT support engineers who were busy working on a computer.

There was a lot of fun with a picnic in the garden and the children learned about food, pretended to cook and served and shared with friends.

We are all very proud of the children from Little Birds Nursery!

This week they learned how to put on their own coats by leaving them on the floor, putting their arms in the sleeves and then flipping it over their heads. We call it ‘our trick’ or even ‘a magic way’.
