Summer Break – Holiday & Food Project

During the Summer break, we partnered again with Safer Communities Alliance to host the Energise project combining the Holiday and Food (HAF) project for local families which was funded by the HAF and Dartford Borough Council.

The project ran in August for four fun packed days providing meals and a range of activities for primary school children and parent support. The children enjoyed sports activities, dance parties, face painting, visits from some creepy crawlies, boxing, cooking healthy meals, trips to Trosley Country Park for den-building and woodland crafts, board games, mud kitchen, water fun and much more!

On the final day, children baked and decorated cakes with their families and then joined in with Caribbean & African dancing. Autism South East shared information about their excellent support services and four families received raffled air fryers presented by Paul Cutler, Mayor of Dartford.
