On Wednesday 22nd of June, Year 6 at DPA were visited by Karen from Kooth (an online mental wellbeing community). Through the session, they discussed the topic of anxiety and managing stress. The pupils learnt new techniques to use when you’re stressed or have anxiety, including breathing exercises and blowing bubbles. At the end of the session, they were given their own pot of bubbles to take home with them along with information about the services Kooth has to offer.

The pupils said that they enjoyed the session because they were able to share their own experiences about how they manage anxiety and stress with their peers. They said that they will be able to use these strategies when they transition to secondary school.
