Looking after Animals in Nursery and celebrating Easter!

Nursery pupils practice looking after pet animals.

This week in Nursery our children became Vets! They discussed how the Vets can help treat and look after our animals. They made their own animal faces by using their fine motor skills to colour, cut and glue.

We turned our home corner and our garden into a Vet for the children to practice their veterinary skills on our toy animals using our medical resources. The children loved talking about how they can help the animals and what would make them better.

We also celebrated Easter in Nursery this week before we break up for half term! The children enjoyed our sensory tray with green rice and chicks.

The children loved exploring the paint and using different tools to make Easter egg shapes and we also created an Easter egg hunt for the children to explore in the garden.

We read lots of different stories this week for the children to explore all about Vets and celebrating Easter. The children loved listening and talking about the stories and discussing what Vets do to help us.
