In the final week of term the children in Reception were excited to have a visit from Exotic Explorers. They brought along five animals for the children to see. The children have been learning about habitats this term so it was great to see some animals that come from different habitats and learn more about why they live there.
The Chinchilla has lots of hair to keep it warm in the cold mountains!
The giant millipede lives at the bottom of the rainforest and curls up in a ball to protect itself from other animals.
The bearded dragon has skin a similar colour to the rocks and sand in the desert to camouflage in with their surroundings.
The skunks’ spray can be smelt over 3 miles away!
The macaws are omnivores which mean they eat meat and plants!
