Last week in the nursery, we looked at people who helped us and we spoke about the Dentist. Together we discussed how we keep our teeth clean and the children recognised what foods are good for your teeth and what foods are not so good for your teeth.
We made our own teeth using our fine motor skills to cut and stick white paper onto red paper. “This tooth has cavities”
We changed our home corner into a Dentist and the children explored what it was like to be a Dentist and were “booking appointments” for other peers.
Together we read stories such as ‘Alan’s Big Scary Teeth’ and the children recognised what could happen if you don’t take care of your teeth.
