World Book Day 2022

Pupils are photographed together for World Book Day 2022 wearing their outfits and holding up the books they are from.

Dartford Primary Academy took part in World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March. Children were invited to dress up as their favourite book characters. All children enjoyed taking part in different activities throughout the day. As well as a World Book Day assembly, the children had an opportunity to discuss their favourite books and characters, which inspired their costumes, and many participated in a book swap with their peers.

Amongst the many characters from Harry Potter, multiple princesses across the year groups, we also had Little Red Riding Hood, Matilda, Where’s Wally, Gangsta Granny and the Cat in the Hat, amongst many others. Staff also enjoyed dressing up as much as the children!

It was wonderful to see the pupils dressed in their costumes and most importantly sharing their love of books with each other. We are learning to change the world through a love of reading.
