There has been great eggs-itement across Dartford Primary Academy this week with the arrival of eight eggs from ‘Living Eggs’. They have been housed in our nursery where the children waited in earnest for them to hatch. Their patience was finally rewarded and by Thursday morning five eggs had hatched. Thanks to Google, we were able to set up a live stream from the nursery across the school and all children could log on during the day to see the progress they were making. Orangutan class were thrilled to watch a sixth one hatch at break time on Thursday with the final two making their entrance to the world on Friday.
The chicks will be with us until the final week of term and the children will have the opportunity to learn about life cycles and caring for animals.
